Chromeo - "Don't Turn the Lights On"

One of the most-common complaints about my "100 Songs for 2009" list was that there was too much "80s sounding stuff" on it. I might even agree. It's not that I like that genre any more than others. It's just that there was a lot of that kind of music coming out in 2009, and a lot of it was pretty good.

I think there has been a lot less "80s sounding stuff" so far in 2010, and I think my "Halfway Point 100" list reflects that.

So, that being said, this is the most 80s sounding thing I've heard in a long, long time.

    This sound is amazing. Can't believe I missed this post the first time. That said, you're wrong. 2010 is WAY more 80s than 09 was.

    Sister Scissors "newest" is actually a bunch of lost tracks from 1984. And that horrible MGMT album is from 85. Ugh.
